Manager is responsible for working with existing Oklahoma City companies to create a business environment conducive to growth and expansion in our region, and also spend a portion of their time engaging growing the Bioscience sector.
Successful candidate will:
- Have a degree in business, marketing or a related field. Economic development experience preferred.
- Have knowledge of and ability to access programs and resources to assist companies.
- Identify solutions and develop partnerships to address what companies need to flourish.
- Identify and assist to resolve issues inhibiting growth of existing industries.
- Direct implementation of professional & technical service sector business outreach programs, with a focus on Bioscience.
- Must be comfortable with fundraising for major Bioscience activities and events.
- Make speeches and professional presentation; and will be the lead advocate for Biosciences in Oklahoma City.
- Must have expertise with databases and software related to client tracking.
- Promote and market Oklahoma City through trade shows, conventions and prospect visitations.
- Must be extremely comfortable with cold calls to senior management of companies.
- Must be self-motivated and a strong team member; and have the ability to travel independently.
